Clinical Services Manager

1FTE: 40 hours per week

Thames based

As the Clinical Services Manager your job will be varied, fast paced and very busy; you will be responsible for the design, management, supervision and delivery of all clinical services, Mental Health services, and those staff registered under the HPCA (Health Practitioners Competency Act) ensuring we meet contractual outcomes and deliverables, and provide effective and efficient service delivery to meet client needs within specified timeframes and budgets.  You will provide clinical oversight and monitor client support plans to ensure all services delivered are safe and meet best practice and legislative requirements, and all clients are supported by a team of competent and appropriately trained staff that most effectively meet identified needs.


You will provide clinical mentoring and input to the development of the organisation, working as part of a strong management team. Sound financial acumen is required to ensure budgets are monitored and maintained and funder reports are completed accurately.   


To be successful in this role you will need:

  •   A clinical qualification in health with previous experience in managing staff.
  •   Critical thinking.
  •   Contract management and reporting experience.
  •   Good relationship management skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of people at all levels.
  •   Passion for working in a kaupapa Māori setting and a drive for making a difference.
  •   Excellent team work skills with great respect for other team members and a willingness to work together as a team to reach solutions and outcomes.
  •   Flexible, energetic and proactive with a positive attitude, you will be happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved.


Working in our Thames clinic and covering all clinics and offices in the Hauraki and Coromandel Peninsula areas, this role requires travel and strong time management skills.  Applicants must also be willing to actively upskill their cultural knowledge.
