Ngā puke ki Hauraki, ka tārehua
E mihi ana ki te whenua
E tangi ana ki te tangata.
Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki is a kaupapa Māori driven primary health care organisation, based out of Thames, but also provides services in Coromandel, Paeroa, Waihi, Te Aroha and Whitianga. It has successfully delivered services to the Hauraki rohe for the past sixteen years.
Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki provides GP and nursing services, primary mental health, health promotion, community palliative care, home based support, Kaumātua support, mirimiri and traditional healing. We also provide access to podiatry and physiotherapy.
We often hear of the ‘patient-centric’ model of care, the Māori model tends to focus on Whare tapa whā – a “whānau-centric” or “all-encompassing” approach. Te Korowai can apply this model effectively with its wide-ranging array of services – not just GP services. In saying this, it should be noted that these services are inclusive of all.
“Ki te kahore he whakakitenga ka ngaro te iwi.”
Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki is taking a forward-thinking approach to seeking out quality staff, who would be keen to come and reside in the beautiful Hauraki rohe and work for Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki, if the opportunity arose.
Hence we are calling for expressions of interest from both clinically trained (e.g. general practitioners, nurses, social workers, counsellors etc) and non-clinicians (e.g. caregivers, community health workers, communication advisors, analysts, etc), who wish to be part of a comprehensive, proactive and “go-getter” organisation, with the sole aim of contributing to the raised health and wellbeing of the people of Hauraki rohe.
Current vacancies can be found HERE, but we are also establishing a database of potential applicants – should positions become available in the future, we will contact you directly. You may be a new graduate, or someone looking for a coastal lifestyle while continuing to work.
